This illustration, by artist Forrest Burdett, is an art print that mimics a design for a book cover. It includes all the elements but Aslan and Mr. Tumnus, giving the viewer the idea kids defeat the witch, who is glowering on the bottom, on their own.
As an artist I like this intentionally naive, folkloric style. It’s used a lot for redesigns of the book; I’ve come across at least a dozen this year. It fits the fairytale theme but publishers, I’ve noticed, prefer more dynamic, action-filled covers. For a poster advertising the theater version of LWW, it would work fine with some room at the bottom for the dates and venue.
